Hey, M, rubber slicker or not, you only got half my film review. After I'd thought about it more, I realized that all the shadowy hallways, wells, and elevators are really "empty womb" imagery, and water, instead of being the life-force, in those movies is a death-force...heh. :) But face it, the guy who wrote The Ring and Dark Water has some serious mother issues.
